Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
This is prototype placeholder text. Final policies are confirmed after legal review, before PG screening.
Article 1 (Purpose and Definitions)
These Terms set out the conditions and procedures for the reservation, payment, and entry services provided by BATU (the “Company”). In these Terms, “entry slot”, “base usage time (2 hours)”, “extension”, “credits (3/5/10/20 sessions)”, “guest pass”, “membership (Off-Peak / Full Access)”, “no-show”, and “check-in/check-out” have the meanings described in the service.
Article 2 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)
Amendments are announced via web notice and email or KakaoTalk notification. Amended terms are announced 7 days before taking effect, or 30 days in advance for changes unfavorable to users.
Article 3 (Accounts and Registration)
This facility is for adults aged 19 or older; domestic users verify their age via mobile identity verification, and foreign users confirm their age by agreeing to these Terms. Accounts and QR codes are non-transferable, and users are responsible for managing their social-login accounts.
Article 4 (Reservation and Entry)
Reservations open 14 days before the visit date (D-14), and entry is permitted from 15 minutes before the reserved slot time. You may enter at any time up to 90 minutes after the slot start, and your place is held for you until then. Your session still ends 2 hours after the reserved slot time, so arriving late shortens your visit. Entry is not possible more than 90 minutes after the slot start, and the no-show policy in Article 9 applies. Entry proceeds via QR check-in at the front desk; program and event bookings may enter from 20 minutes before the session start and are confirmed as a no-show if not checked in within 15 minutes after it.
Article 5 (Usage Time and Extension)
Base usage time is 2 hours from the slot start (the same applies when arriving late); after a 15-minute grace period, an extension fee of KRW 10,000 up to 3 hours and KRW 20,000 beyond applies. For a slot starting less than 2 hours before closing, usage time runs until closing and the fee is the same. For an Off-Peak membership entry before 17:00 on a weekday, leaving after 17:00 adds a KRW 20,000 difference for use outside the off-peak window, settled at check-out separately from any extension fee. Extension fees and this difference are paid at the front desk at check-out by card or another on-site payment method, whether or not you hold a membership. If you leave without paying, the amount remains as an unsettled balance, and new reservations and check-in are restricted while an unsettled balance remains. An unsettled balance may be paid in the service or at the front desk.
Article 6 (Fees and Payment)
Fees are posted in the price list shown in the service; the drop-in (single visit) fee is one price regardless of day or time. The Off-Peak membership's free entry window (weekdays 11:00–17:00) and the difference for leaving after 17:00 are governed by Articles 5 and 10. Payments are processed via PG (card, easy pay, foreign cards) with cash receipts and payment notifications. Promo codes are limited to one per payment, may not be transferred or redeemed for cash, and may be cancelled upon misuse.
Article 7 (Cancellation and Changes)
General slots may be cancelled up to 1 hour before the start, and programs/events up to 24 hours before; cancellations within the window are refunded in full. After the deadline, neither cancellation nor a same-day change to another slot is possible, and failure to attend is handled under the no-show policy in Article 9.
Article 8 (Refunds)
Refunds follow the Refund Policy page. Where the Consumer Dispute Resolution Standards are more favorable to the user, those standards prevail.
Article 9 (No-Show Policy)
A general-entry booking is confirmed as a no-show if the user has not checked in within 90 minutes after the slot start; program and event bookings are confirmed within 15 minutes after the session start. Guests who arrive late but do enter are not treated as no-shows, and no automatic suspension is applied for a no-show. On confirmation, the consequence depends on how the visit was booked: drop-in and gifted passes may forfeit the amount paid, one session may be deducted from a credit pack, and program or event bookings may forfeit the amount paid (member complimentary seats release the seat only). Where a general-entry booking made under a membership is not used, no separate fee is charged. Bookings cancelled when a membership cancellation takes effect (Article 10) are not treated as no-shows.
Article 10 (Membership)
Membership comes in two tiers: Off-Peak (unlimited during weekday off-peak hours) and Full Access (unlimited at all hours); monthly fees and eligible hours are posted in the service. While your membership is active, a visit outside your Off-Peak hours (entry after 17:00 on a weekday, or any weekend or holiday) is paid for at the time of booking, at KRW 20,000 per visit; visits during a hold or after cancellation takes effect are charged at the drop-in rate. Membership renews automatically each month (with advance renewal notice), and usage is limited to one visit per day and two hours per visit. General-entry reservations booked at no charge under the membership and not yet used are limited to 2 at a time; program reservations and reservations you paid for are not counted toward this limit. A hold is available twice a year for 7–28 days each, after the first 90 days, with the billing date deferred accordingly. You may request cancellation at any time; regardless of when you request it, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep access until closing time on the last day of that period, and no further charges apply. You may withdraw a cancellation before it takes effect; your membership then continues and renews on the next billing date. Bookings made with your membership before you cancelled, for visits after the cancellation takes effect, and guest bookings linked to them with a guest pass, are cancelled when it takes effect, with no fee and not treated as a no-show (bookings you paid for, and guest bookings linked to them, are not affected). The number of bookings to be cancelled is shown when you cancel, and they are kept if you withdraw the cancellation. An early-termination refund formula applies.
Article 11 (Credits, Guest Pass, Gifts, and Gift Cards)
Credits (3/5/10/20 sessions) are valid for 180 days; for gifted items validity starts upon claim, and the gift claim window is 90 days (unclaimed gifts are automatically refunded to the purchaser). Recipients of gifted items must complete identity verification, guest passes are limited to the same slot accompanied by a member, gift cards (3 denominations, valid for 5 years) are balance-deducting and transferable only while unclaimed, and refunds of remaining balances follow the Refund Policy.
Article 12 (Facility Rules)
Users must wear swimwear or quick-dry performance wear (bring your own; everyday cotton clothing is not permitted), shower before bathing, observe photography restrictions inside the facility (no photographing others), keep quiet in the Rest Room, and follow hygiene rules and staff instructions; entry while intoxicated is prohibited. A 10,000 KRW replacement fee applies for lost RFID locker keys or shoe locker keys.
Article 12-2 (Early Termination of a Session)
Where a user causes a disturbance, such as loud or disruptive behaviour that interferes with other users, or otherwise breaches the facility rules in Article 12, the Company may ask the user to correct the behaviour. If the user does not comply, or the breach is repeated, the Company may terminate the session early and require the user to leave, with no refund for the remaining session time. For serious breaches (including conduct that threatens the safety of others, violence, sexual threats, unauthorised filming, or use while heavily intoxicated), the Company may terminate the session immediately without a prior request to correct. A session terminated early is treated the same as a completed session: one session is deducted from a credit pack, a membership counts the day as a visit, and any overstay charges incurred up to the point of termination remain payable. Where breaches are repeated or serious, the Company may restrict future use or terminate the membership.
Article 13 (Health and Safety)
Users with cardiovascular conditions, pregnancy, or similar are advised to use the facility with caution; cold plunge carries physical risks, and use after drinking alcohol is prohibited. Emergency response procedures apply in case of incidents, and users have a duty to manage their own health condition.
Article 14 (Programs and Events)
Programs and events are seated; entry opens 20 minutes before the session start (prep buffer), and late arrival may limit participation. Outdoor-combined events (monthly drops) are subject to liability waiver and insurance terms, and instructor changes or cancelled sessions are handled by substitution or refund.
Article 15 (Miscellaneous)
Stored belongings, including valuables, are the user's own responsibility, and this article sets out the grounds for usage restriction or termination and the governing law and jurisdiction. Personal data is processed under the Privacy Policy.
